You are able to create a Permalink or QR Code to a document that will allow your folio users to access the document after logging in allowing them to go straight to the document instead of going through the hub. You are also able to make a document publicly accessible which allows anyone, including non users, to see the document.
One way of sharing is using launchpads, where you are able to put documents along with Public/Create links and instructions to create a mini publicly accessible document hub.
To get to the share options for a document first click on the document key from the list screen, and on the right hand side of the document are the share options.
Bookmarks
Bookmarks allows you to add the document onto the bookmark snapshot for business units.
All Business Units will add the document to all users bookmarks snapshot on the homescreen
Selected Business Units will add the document to the bookmarks snapshot for all the users in the selected business units.
Note that the user will still require read rights to actually download the document.
Link
There are three link options you have, The first is Download/View which will take you to the link and either download the document or view the URL/Composed document.
If you are wanting to share the link with others outside of folio click Copy Link and the permalink to the document will be copied to your clipboard.
Please Note:
When a user clicks on the permalink to view a document, and the document is displayed in the browser it will be displayed under a secure temporary link. If you want to share the Document, you must either share the permalink or download the Document and share it. If you share the temporary link the recipient will not have access to the Document.
You can also click QR Code to generate a qr code for the document, allowing people to scan the QR code to be taken directly to the document.
Publicly Accessible
By default to view the document you will need to log into Folio and then have the corresponding access rights to view the document. If you turn Publicly Accessible anyone who clicks on the link will be able to download the document, whether its from the hub, bookmarks snapshot, a launchpad or a printed out QR code.
