You can create Checklist question categories. In the Administration section, scroll to Checklists and select Question Categories.

You can add a new Question Category or edit existing Categories in this section. You can also create multiple levels of categorisation, if required.

The benefit of the categorisation of questions is in the reporting of the Checklist Result. The PDF report generated from the results, gives a percentage score by Category and also breaks down the actual score v. theoretical maximum by category.
