The Notification Central feature in Folio lets you see a list of the emails that were sent out of your Folio instance over that last 30 days. To get to Notification Central click on the admin gearwheel in the top right of the screen, then on the admin screen select Notification Central:
On the Notification Central screen you will see a list of emails under 4 columns:
The Date column shows the date and time the event occurred, the Event column list the type of event associated with this entry. The events split into 4 groups:
- Accepted: The email was accepted by the clients email server
- Delivered: The email has been delivered to the client
- Opened: The client has opened the email
- Clicked: The client has clicked on a link in the email
- Rejected: The email was rejected by the clients email server
- Failed: The email failed to send. This could be for a variety of reasons, but the most common is that the email address was incorrect
The Recipient column list the address the email was sent to, and the Details column lists details on the clients machine such as their Operating System.
You can filter this list for certain emails or email events by clicking on the Search bar :
Then selecting the filter you want to apply:
You can filter by any of the columns listed above. For instance if you only want to see accepted emails then select the event filter, then accepted as the value, then hit Apply:
Each email is generally split into three events, Accepted, Delivered then Opened, but if you want to see the exact chronology of events for a particular email then click on the ellipsis to the right of that email and select message history:
Lastly, if you want to see what an email looks like, or if an email keeps failing and you want to send it to the client personally, Notification Central gives you the ability to preview an email and send it to yourself. To do this click on the ellipsis and select Preview Message (note that this doesn't work for emails with an opened event against them):
You will then see a popup that shows what the email looks like, and at the bottom there is a Send To Me button that will send a copy of the email to your email address:
Note: emails are only stored for 3 days, after which you will no longer be able to preview them.
