Checklist Roles explained

Checklist roles give a user access to checklists. A Checklist Role is made up of Access Rights and Checklist Categories that these Access Rights relate to. Checklist roles can be added to a User Profile or assigned directly to a user. 

Please Note: Checklist Roles must be combined with assignment roles to allow the user to Read assignments, Update or Create assignments. 

Checklist Roles can have the following access rights: 

Rights	Included Rights	Description
Read	Read	Users can Read checklists in selected checklist categories.
Update	Read, Update	Users can Update checklists in selected checklist categories
Create	Read, Update, Create	Users can Create new checklists in selected checklist categories
Retire	Read, Update, Retire	Users can Retire checklists in selected checklist categories.

Checklist Assignment Roles

Checklist Assignment Roles give users access rights to checklist assignments. Checklist Assignment Roles are made up of Access Rights and Business Units that these Access Rights relate to. Checklist Assignment roles can be added to a User Profile or assigned directly to a user.

Please Note: Assignment roles must be combined with checklist roles, a user must be able to Read, Update or Create Checklists so that they can assign them.

Assignments roles can have the following access rights:

Rights	Included Rights	Description
Read	Read	Users can Read Assignments assigned to: Business Units that they have rights to. Person/s Responsible from Business Units that they have rights to.
Update	Read, Update	Users can Update Assignments assigned to  Business Unit that they have rights to. Person/s Responsible from Business Units that they have rights to.
Create	Read, Update, Create	When assigning a checklist : The Person/s Responsible have to be from the Business Units that the user has rights to.  The Business Unit can be any Business unit across the Organisation and is not restricted to the Business Units that the User has rights to.
Retire	Read, Update, Retire	Users can Retire Assignments assigned to: Business Units that they have rights to. Person/s Responsible from Business Units that they have rights to.

Example 1 

James Smith can read checklists in the Compliance Category and can read assignments in the Marketing Business Unit. Here are some examples of what James Smith can and cannot do:

Checklist Results Roles

The Checklist Result Roles give a user access rights to  Checklist Result. 

• The checklist result is made up of the Checklist responses, any indicator scores and the responses in any review stages. 
• A checklist result role is made up of the access rights, the checklists categories for which these rights have been provided and the business units that these rights relate to. 

Please Note: A user does not need rights to the checklist or the assignment to have access rights to the Checklist Result. When assigning an Action linked to  a checklist result the user must have action assignment rights.

The Checklist Result access rights a user can have are as follows:

Complete	Read, Complete	A User can Complete Results of  users  This right is limited to selected selected Checklist Categories and Business Units
Update Completed Results	Read, Update Completed Results	A User can Update Completed Results of users. This right is limited to selected Checklist Categories and Business Units.  Please note: This access right could mean that the user acquires rights to change their own completed checklist results.

 Anita Svensen can read checklist results from the Compliance Category for the business unit marketing. Here are some examples of what Anita can and cannot do:
