As a part of setting up your Organisation’s brand on Folio you can set up Default colours for Sections, Tables, Buttons, and Instructions on Folio Templates and Layouts (Actions, Checklists, Entity, and Documents) and for the charts on the Reports, snapshots on the Dashboards and for the Insights.
Note: When importing a template from the template library or via JSON the default colours will not override the colours setup on the imported template, but you can apply the default colours at any time.
How to set up Default Colours?
To set up Default Colours, click on the admin gear wheel and then on Organisation.
Select the Colours tab. You will be able to set the default colours for Section, Table, Button and Instructions for your organisation by clicking on the corresponding colour.
When a user makes a new Section/Table/Button/Instruction these colours will be used by default.
You can also customise the default colour palette for charts displayed in reports, snapshots, and insights. Folio provides a default palette of ten colours, which is the minimum number of colours required for charts. You have the flexibility to reorder this colour sequence and add more colours to the palette as needed.
To restore the Folio default colour palette for all charts, snapshots, and insights, simply click the Reset button. Folio will then revert all charts, snapshots & insights to their original default colour settings. Please Note: All changes will take immediate effect.
How to apply default colours to existing templates and layouts
You can update default colours on any Folio Template or Layout by following these steps:
- Go to the Fields tab of the Folio Template, or the layout screen for the layout you want to update
- Click on the Apply Default Colours Button
- If you are happy to proceed with this change click Apply Default Colours on the Default Colours modal, doing this will apply the Default Colours to all Sections, Tables, Buttons and Instructions.
