In Folio you can add Notes to Folios (Contracts, Risks etc), Entities, Actions, Checklists or Documents. To add a note go to a Folio for example, go to the Details page for that Folio and click on "Add a Note" on the right side of the page:
This will then expand the Notes text field where you can type in your note, choose a note type and add an attachment if necessary:
You can also react to a note by clicking on the thumbs up icon which will appear when you hover over the note. After you click on the note it’s color will change to blue indicating that you have reacted to it. If someone has already reacted to a note then you will see the count of users next to the thumbs up icon. When you hover over the thumbs up icon you will see the list of all users who have reacted to the note in a popover. Anyone who can view a note is able to react to it.
This works the same for Actions and Checklists, but is slightly different for Entities. When adding a note to an Entity first go to that Entities page, then click on the Notes tab:
Here you will see not only all Notes made from this Entity, but also all Notes made on Folios that this Entity is attached to. For instance notice that the Note that was just made on OUT-1 appears in this Notes tab:
That's because Maurita Moe is attached as an entity on OUT-1:
So any Notes made on OUT-1 will also appear in the Notes tab for Bradley Brumbaugh and Maurita Moe.
To add a new Note from an Entities Notes tab, click on +New Note:
The popup that appears is almost identical to the one used for Folios, except there is an extra Link to Folio option:
By default Notes made on an Entity will not appear on Folios that this Entity is attached to, but by using the Link to Folio option you can choose to have the Note created on that entity be added to a Folio as well.
You can also export all of the Notes under an entity by using the Export button in the Notes tab:
